Margaret E. Grimes, formerly of Central Valley, N.Y., passed away peacefully at her home in Fayetteville, Pa., on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. She was 82 years old.
The daughter of James and Margaret Dunnery Deans, she was born in the Bronx on Jan. 3, 1938.
Margaret is survived by her loving and dedicated husband Bill at home; her sons William and his wife Eileen of Wardsboro, Vermont, Douglas and his wife Colleen of Central Valley, and Christopher and his wife Debbie of Marietta, Ga.; along with her daughter Annette Grimes of Slate Hill. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Patrick, James, William, Gregory, Michael, Meghan, Jack, Kevin, Jessica and Emma; her niece Roberta and husband Ken Auer of Carefree, Arizona; and her nephews Keith and his wife Susan Grimes of Montauk along with James and Norah Grimes of Montauk. She was predeceased by two sisters: Florence Deans, and Susan Grimes.
Visitation will be private for the family at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
Private interment will take place at Most Holy Trinity Parish Cemetery in East Hampton.
