JoAnne Caruso of Highland Mills passed away on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 77 years old.
The daughter of Joseph Verdi and Vincenza Taormina Verdi, JoAnne was born on May 15, 1944, in New York City.
She was a retired manager at Ghurka in Central Valley; a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills; and a member of the Woodbury Golden Agers Club in Highland Mills.
Survivors include her loving husband, Leonard S. Caruso Sr., at home; sons: Leonard Caurso Jr. and his wife Patti of Sarasota, Fla., Michael Caruso of Newburgh, Joseph Caruso of Newburgh and Christopher Caruso and his wife Michaela of Highland Mills; sister Charlotte Verdi of Highland Mills; and seven grandchildren: Dylan, Cal, Alyssa, Mia, Kayla, Alaina and Miles.
Visitation was held Nov. 28 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
A Funeral Mass was held Nov. 29 at St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
