Francis (Frank) Dominick Savino Jr. of Harriman sadly passed away at the age of 80 on Aug. 6, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
The son of Emma McGuinness of New York City and Francis (Frank) Savino of Palo del Cole, Bari, Italy, Frank was born in Goshen on Feb. 14, 1943.
Frank was a beloved husband, father and grandfather with a great sense of humor and a positive energy toward life. He was truly one of a kind.
During his youth in Harriman, Frank loved to hunt, trap and fish with his childhood buddies and spoke fondly of his many adventures growing up in a small town. His career in construction and building materials had time spent in Yonkers, Middletown and the Town of Mount Hope.
He leaves behind his wife Angela, sons Douglas Savino and his wife Yurlanis of Middletown; Glenn Savino and his wife Jennifer of Westbrookville; daughters Rose McCarthy and her husband Ryan of Zephyrhills, Fla.; Angie Johnson and her husband Andy of Blue Springs, Mo.; grandchildren Derek Savino and his partner Alicia Roberts of Stroudsburg, Pa.; Michael Savino of Stroudsburg, Pa.; Kyla Savino of Brooklyn; Carly Stawski and her husband Chris of Jersey City, N.J.; Nick Savino of Sparrowbush; Larissa Ward and her fiance Paul Higgins of Forestburgh; Miranda McCarthy of Zephyrhills, Fla.; Alexandra Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; Andrea Bonali and her husband Michael of Independence, MO; and great-grandchild Miles Stawski of Jersey City, N.J.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janet Savino.
A private memorial service will be held with only close family members present.
