Alan “Al” Mitchell Novick passed away on April 24, 2021, at his home in Monroe surrounded by love with his wife Rosalind Fuerst Novick of 60 years, his son Louie Novick of Monroe and daughter Beth Novick of Monroe.

The son of Louis Novick and Molly Waldman Novick, Alan was born in Brooklyn.

Al was a veteran of the United States Army Field Artillery. He was a retired Lithographer for Local 1 in New York. Al earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and ran a karate school at the Seagate Community Center in Brooklyn.

He was a passionate athlete, an avid runner, tennis player, reader and animal lover.

Al was predeceased by his brothers Seymour and Jerome Novick, brother-in-law Stanley Furst (Rose), Herbert Fuerst (Roxanne) and nephew Jeffrey Furst. Other survivors include his nephew Steven Furst (Pinky) and cousins Estele Eisner, Cynthia Menist and Eddie Novick.

Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
