| 23 Jun 2016 | 01:21

Highland Mills — Genevieve Blanche, otherwise known as Jeanne, celebrated her 100th year birthday on June 13 surrounded by friends and family.
She was born to Dominick and Elizabeth Nazzaro of Central Valley and is one of 13 siblings. Her sisters Ida Vigliotti and Lucille Shina are both in their 90’s!
Jeanne has three generations of more than 70 nieces and nephews who love her.
When asked what has kept her so young, she replied “my loving family and friends, and good lovin' with my husband Lee!”
She and her late husband Roland Blanche spent their entire lives as residents of Highland Mills.
She received a birthday card from President Obama and will be acknowledged on an upcoming Today Show.
In 2010, there are about 80,000 centenarians in the U.S. Eighty-five percent of centenarians are women and 15 percent are men.
Thus, we regard these individuals as wonderful models of aging well. And aging well she has, she remains spirited, resilient, and thoughtful! To know her is to love her!
Happy Birthday, special lady. You are 100 years loved! May all your birthday wishes come true!
