West Point. The West Point Jazz Ensemble, comprised of members of the West Point Band, will present a performance in celebration of Black History Month featuring special guest Donald Harrison on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Haig Room at West Point. A celebrated New Orleans-born jazz saxophonist, Harrison is an adept performer and creator of a hard-swinging improvisational style called “Nouveau Swing,” a style of jazz merged with modern dance music like R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul and Rock. This event is free and open to all. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. The Haig Room is located on the sixth floor of the USMA Library, at 758 Cullum Road.
