Who ya’ gonna’ call with your unemployment claim problem?

State Senator James Skoufis that’s who.

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the unemployment phone lines and website at the Department of Labor have been regularly crashing because of the influx of claims.

Skoufis (D-Hudson) and his office have been helping by flagging hundreds of unemployment insurance claims, and he invites constituents who are still having trouble getting through to reach out to his office for help by calling 845-567-1270 or emailing skoufis@nysenate.gov.

“While this pandemic has revealed the resilience of New Yorkers and the leadership we are all capable of displaying, it has also highlighted the fundamental necessity of well-functioning government services,” said Skoufis. “Contact us for help. We can ensure your claim is flagged for the appropriate person and help move this process along as quickly as possible.”
