Monroe. Recycling and shredding scheduled for town residents on Nov. 2

The Town of Monroe will host a shredding and computer/electronics day, open to all town residents (must show valid identification), on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Town Highway Department, located at 87 Mine Road.

The community shredding: Limited to 3-4 boxes per resident.

Tire recycling: tires with rims will not be accepted.

Computer and electronics recycling:

Items accepted: Cell phones, computers, DVD players, terminals, keyboards, monitors, printers, scanners, speakers, stereos, FAX machinces, televisions, VCR’s, radios, modems, typewriters, batteries, CPU’s and laptops. Hard drives will be shredded and all material will be recycled domestically.

Appliances will not be accepted.
