The Friends of Hill-Hold and Brick House Museums will host a “Wine Making and Tasting” fund raiser at Hill Hold Museum on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m.

There will be a presentation on the wine making process and a discussion about all the necessary equipment and supplies. Additionally, there will be demos on recycling wine bottles into decorative items and how to make different flavors of sangria.

Then guests will taste wines from award-winning New York State and local wineries and enjoy an assortment of hors d’oeuvres in the beautiful circa 1870 barn at Hill Hold historic homestead.

Other highlights of the afternoon will include a raffle for several great items including a huge “Basket of Cheer," door prizes including bottles of wine and everyone will get to take home their commemorative wine-tasting glass.

Admission for the event is $35 per person and advanced registration and payment are required. To reserve a seat, call 845-615-3828 or register online at www.hillholdandbrickhouse.org by Sept. 16.

Hill Hold is located at 128 Route 416 in Hamptonburgh.

All proceeds benefit the museums.
