Warwick — Vision Community Church on Newport Bridge Road in the Amity section of Warwick will host an exhibit of children’s art from Cascabel, Nicaragua through the end of September. “The Kids of Cascabel” are a growing group of homeless children who have found food, clothing, shelter, and love in the care of a local pastor and his wife. Many of the children they now care for had been abandoned, orphaned, or rescued from a life of rummaging through a local garbage dump for the basic necessities of life. They now attend school and receive medical care, food, clothing, and shelter due entirely to contributions provided by humanitarian aid world wide. Vision Community Church and Airline Ambassadors International will host a fund raiser to benefit the Kids of Cascabel. The art work on exhibit, created by the Cascabel children, will be available for a donation of $10 each. All proceeds will be sent directly to the Cascabel mission through Airline Ambassadors International, a non-profit organization affiliated with the United Nations. Airline Ambassadors are a volunteer organization of primarily airline personnel who utilize their airline connections to deliver humanitarian aid world wide. The art work can be viewed at the church before and after the Sunday morning service at 10 a.m. or anytime during the week with advanced notification. Vision will also host a reception and video presentation of the Kids of Cascabel mission on Sunday, Sept. 26 from 11:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call 764-7582 for more information.
