The girls cross country team has won an incredible 87.94 percent of their meets over the 45 years that it has competed. They have established themselves as the most successful team in Monroe Woodbury history posting a 489-67 record while racking up 59 conference, division, county and sectional championship along the way. Head Coach Christopher Goodwin just wrapped up his 20th season with a incredible 191-28 record with 18 division titles and 12 Section 9 titles to his credit. The Crusaders went 6-0 this year and took first in their Division meet and 2nd in the Section 9 meet. Coach Goodwin talked to the girls and their families about the tradition, mental and physical toughness that is required to participate in such a grueling sport and the Purple Pride moniker that is on their uniform. The girls were given their Varsity letters and flowers for the seniors. The Crusaders look to be strong again next year with several key underclassmen returning for another year of the long Purple Line.
