Girl Boss Expo is back and bigger than ever, returning to Palacio Catering and Conference Center Sunday October 20th, from 12-3 pm.

The high-energy event is curated exclusively for girls 11 and up, featuring engaging seminars, workshops, and entertainment. The goal? To instill confidence, inspire girls to be their best selves, and dream big.

Sergeant Rachel Thomas of the U.S. Army, who has earned multiple awards for her work, will be leading “Woman Warriors.” This talk on what it takes to be an effective leader, using examples from her own journey and those of female pioneers, always has a packed audience.

“Questions You Can’t Ask Your Mom,” a private girls-only break-out session, allows attendees to anonymously submit questions in a safe, judgement-free environment. Dr. Jeannette Green, an OBGYN at Orange Regional Medical Center’s Women’s Health unit, will be the moderator, bringing her expertise as a healthcare provider—and a woman—to the table.

In between seminars, girls, parents, and siblings have a full expo of activities to explore: from free henna tattoos, Zumba classes and self defense workshops, to live performances, a marketplace filled with local vendors, and volunteer opportunities.

Girl Boss Expo is free (but tickets do need to be reserved in advance) thanks to sponsors: Suburban Propane, Thor Labs, NorthEast Community Bank, TEG Federal Credit Union, Warwick Center for the Performing Arts, and Sheahan Gormley School of Irish Dance.
