'Monroe deserves to retain John Scherne as our Highway Superintendent'

United Monroe is proud to endorse John Scherne for Monroe Highway Superintendent in the Republican primary on June 25.

Since taking over the job in 2016, John Scherne has done a tremendous job as Monroe's Highway Superintendent. He's administered taxpayers' money with the utmost fiscal responsibility, saving the town tens of thousands of dollars in road salt costs and helping to secure a grant for a new street sweeper.

Superintendant Scherne has been accessible to the public - seven days a week - via social media, phone and email.

Most importantly, John Scherne has kept our roads in excellent repair and safe for travel during extreme weather conditions.

The Democratic Party did not field a candidate against Superintendent Scherne this year, which we believe is a testament to his capabilities, work ethic, and responsiveness to the community.

He does have a challenger in the upcoming Republican primary. This is why it is so important for Monroe Republicans to get out and vote for John Scherne on primary day, June 25 2019.

Safe travel on our roadways, dedication and fiscal responsibility are non-partisan issues. Monroe deserves to retain John Scherne as our Highway Superintendent. Monroe Republicans, please vote on Primary Day, June 25 for John Scherne for Highway Superintendent.

Thank you,

The United Monroe Executive Committee
