On a very rare beautiful sunny Saturday morning, May 11, the Crusaders hosted the Dragons of Cornwall.

The Crusaders entered the game with a 9-3 record on the season, having won their last three games in a row as they get ready to make a deep run into this year's playoffs.

The Crusaders took control of the game from the opening face off and never looked back.

They jumped out to 9-1 leading the first quarter and the lead grew to 16-2 by the half.

The Crusaders slowed their pace down in the second half and went on to a 20-3 victory over the Dragons.

The Crusaders offense was lead by Timothy Philbin, who had nine goals in the game. The sophomore now has 100 career goals.

Jack Dembia and Max Wernicki also had big days with two goals and three assists apiece.

Owen Newbauer helped the Crusaders control the game by winning 20 of 24 face-offs.

In goal, Dean Pesce's five saves and James Rosaschi's three saves held the Dragons at bay.

After the game the Crusaders held a ceremony to honor this years seniors and their parents.

The game also marks the last scheduled game to be played on the boys varsity lacrosse field as the construction on the new fields are scheduled to start next week.

The Crusaders' victory brings their record to 10-3 on the season.

Their next scheduled game will be on Thursday when they travel to Washingtonville to take on the Wizards.
