For the eighth consecutive year, Monroe-Woodbury School District has been honored with the “Best Community for Music Education” designation from the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education.

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students.

“The Monroe-Woodbury community’s support of music is unwavering,” said the district’s Music Coordinator, Christopher Taborsky. “Our students continue to excel in all disciplines of music: from the local and county level to the regional and national stage.

"Throughout all age levels of instruction," Taborsky added, "our dedicated music staff continues to serve our students, providing them with a music education of the highest quality.”

Experience it first-handTo enjoy this musical expertise first-hand, take a look at the district calendar on the website for upcoming events.

The spring concert season kicks off this month and moves into high gear the last week in April with high school performances on Tuesday and Thursday.

Each building hosts several musical events so there is a great deal to enjoy.
