MONROE — The Monroe Girl Scout Community's annual Halloween "Pumpkin Blaze" will take place Friday, Oct. 20, at Sacred Heart School in Monroe and feature the viewing of hundreds of Girl Scout carved pumpkins from 6 to 8 p.m.
Loosely based on the successful the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, the community is invited to admire the pumpkins, all located in the school’s back grounds.
Pumpkins of all shapes and sizes will be in display, many carved just minutes before darkness in a community gathering behind the school.
Organizers say the event is one which brings some Halloween spirit to the community in way which demonstrates Girl Scout creativity.
