Senator Skoufis kept his word

I want to thank our State Senator James Skoufis for working so hard to pass the Child Victims Act in his first month as our Senator.

He promised to make the CVA passage a top priority and Senator Skoufis kept his word.

Child victims of sexual abuse will now finally have a chance for justice against their abusers. This should have always been a bipartisan issue.

Yet, for years, the Senate blocked the CVA due to bad politics.

I am so happy that our Senator, James Skoufis, understood that good people of all parties wanted the Child Victims Act to become law in New York State.

We all thank him for helping create a safer New York in which abusers are held accountable for their crimes.
