'The Y provide(s) me with a beautiful feeling of community'

Dear Mayor Dwyer,

I am writing this letter to express my feelings about the YMCA of Monroe (aka, the Y) and what the Y means to me. I’ve been a resident of the Village of Monroe for almost 18 years and have watched this town grow and evolve.

My husband and I purchased a family membership at the Y over a year ago and are continuing that membership because of the wonderful experiences we’ve had.

Not only does the Y provide me with a beautiful feeling of community that truly reaches my soul but it is important that you understand that I work in health care and at the end of a very stressful day, coming to the Y helps me distress, regroup and recharge.

The planned expansion and addition of a pool will be a tremendous asset to our village and I am really looking forward to it.

Doris Kossover
