Y offers free passes to federal employees affected by government shutdown
MONROE — Federal government employees affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown can enjoy some health and exercise time with free passes courtesy of the South Orange Family YMCA and the Middletown YMCA.
“For federal employees dealing with the harsh financial realities of the government shutdown, we are inviting them to bring their families to the Y as, perhaps, a distraction from their financial challenges,” said South Orange Family Y Branch Executive Director Ross Miceli. “We have lots of different classes and equipment for them to chose from and try out. We hope this invitation, like the many ongoing programs and services we offer to the community, and special circumstances like this, is another demonstration of what we are confident is our commitment to hope those in need and to be a good neighbor to all in Monroe.”
Federal employees should bring a photo ID and their most recent paystub.
For additional information, contact the Y at 782-9622.
