— The Albert Wisner Public Library will present New York Times bestselling author Allison Pataki on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 12:30 p.m., for a discussion of her newly published memoir, "Beauty in the Broken Places."
The book describes the harrowing year after Pataki’s husband Dave suffered a debilitating stroke at age thirty and his difficult road to recovery.
Described as a manifesto for living, this is an ultimately uplifting story about the transformative power of faith and resilience.
It’s a tale of a man’s turbulent road to recovery, the shifting nature of marriage, and the struggle of loving through pain and finding joy in the broken places.
Pataki is also the author of "Sis," "The Traitor’s Wife" and "The Accidental Empress." She is the daughter of former New York State governor George E. Pataki.
A book signing will follow the discussion. Copies will be available for purchase.
