— Monroe-Woodbury High School senior Connor Paik was one of just 64 players in all of the United States to receive the All American High School Soccer Player Award given by the United Soccer Coaches of America in Chicago on Jan. 12.

This is just the latest in a series of awards the scholar athlete has earned.

Connor was been recently named the Times Herald-Record 845 Varsity Soccer Player of the Year.

He also was selected to the All Regional East Team 2018, All State 2018, All Sections 2018 and Varsity 845 first team.

His teammates on the Boys Varsity Soccer team also voted him the squad's Most Valuable Player.

He was a member of the Cedar Stars Hudson Valley, which won the New York State Soccer Cup last June.

And most recently, Connor and his teammates won the New York State High School Championship on Nov. 11.

Connor is a member of the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America and he volunteers at a local summer camp and his church.

He plans to study business in college although he has yet to commit to a particular school.
