— The ultimate brewery experience has arrived: Dirt’s Brew Hop, happening Saturday, June 9, is taking beer enthusiasts from one Orange County brewery to the next to enjoy flights of local craft beer.
This isn’t your average brewery tour or bar crawl. The Brew Hop showcases some of the best craft beer operations in New York, where brewers reap the benefits of the historic Black Dirt region’s famously lush soil and the unique barley it produces.
Attendees have the option to hop on and off Dirt’s beer bus at their leisure, which will be looping stops at the following watering holes:
• Glenmere Brewing Company;
• Long Lot Farm Brewery in Chester;
• Westtown Brew Works;
• Pine Island Brewing Company; and
• Equilibrium Brewery in Middletown.
A flight of beer is provided at each destination.
The bus will also be stopping at Black Dirt Malt, where hoppers will learn a little Beer 101, discovering how the barley in the brews they’re sipping is locally grown, harvested and turned into malt.
Brewery buffs and novices alike are sure to become craft beer aficionados by the end of the day.
Hop on and drink local.
