'I applaud Senator Skoufis' impartiality'

Before the holidays, I was disheartened to read that the Rebbe leader of the Kiryas Joel majority had vicious words to say to his supporters about our new state Senator, James Skoufis.

It's clear that the Rebbe’s charged attack was the result of frustration that the senator easily overcame the Village of Kiryas Joel’s bloc vote.

I applaud Senator Skoufis for his commitment to treating all equally and keeping his promise of special treatment for none.

As we boldly enter a new year, I hope Rebbe Aaron Teitelbaum can understand that impartiality, and not animosity, is the right and only way forward.
