TUXEDO — Students of the George F. Baker High School and the George Grant Mason School have joined efforts to assist in the annual toy drive that is facilitated by Dr. David Kaufer, a long time Tuxedo resident and former Tuxedo Board of Education member.
Kaufer initiated this collaborative effort with the Suffern Police Department and Suffern Community nine years ago.
It has become an annual tradition that allows the students and community of Tuxedo to come together to assist in making the holidays a little brighter for those who may be a little less fortunate.
Students decorated the Toy Drive boxes and National Honor Society members dropped them off at various locations throughout Tuxedo.
These businesses partner with the school district and allow the Toy Drive boxes to be stationed at their locations for toy collection.
Area businesses/public services who have partnered with the school include the following:
• The Orange Top Diner in Tuxedo Park;
• Dottie Audrey’s Bakery Kitchen in Tuxedo Park;
• Tuxedo Park Library;
• The Barber Shop; and
• Jessie’s Bagels in Sloatsburg.
