MONROE — Pine Tree Elementary School's Patriot Club teamed up with Towns 4 Troops to stuff stockings for the military.

Thomas Lowe, the president of the non-for-profit organization, and Bryan Giudice, principal of Pine Tree, formed a partnership to strengthen ties and create more opportunities for community outreach.

Towns 4 Troops collected items, including granola bars, coffee, toiletry essentials, clothing items, crossword puzzles, candy and more from throughout the Monroe-Woodbury area.

On Dec. 1, the Pine Tree Patriot Club met at school to help stuff stocking for Stateside Active Military in the Hudson Valley.

This was a fun way for our Pine Tree group to interact with another community initiative. More than 60 stockings were prepared for distribution.

Pine Tree looks forward to the continued partnership between the two groups as this and the many other initiatives Towns 4 Troops participates in supports local Marines, Air Force and National Guard service men and women in the Hudson Valley.
