Tuxedo tree lighting set for Nov. 30

TUXEDO — The annual lighting of the Tuxedo Train Station evergreen tree and the arrival of Santa will take place Friday, Nov. 30.

At 6 p.m., gather at the train station for “Sounds of the Season” presented by the George F. Baker H.S. Jazz Ensemble.

The jazz ensemble features: Clayton Chan – Drums/Fine Arts Teacher; Catherine Heavner - Voice; Ali Maynard -Saxophone; Madison Spivak - Trombone; Spencer Griffler - Guitar; Dustin LaBar - Piano; and Charlotte Atkinson - Bass.

Enjoy a camp fire, all the makings of s’more’s while listening to seasonal music.

Santa will arrive promptly at 6:05 p.m. on Sterling Forest Fire Companies 1921 American la France Antique Fire Truck.

He’ll make his first stop at the Town Tree to illuminate the finest greens of Tuxedo.

The lighting of the tree will be followed by the George F. Baker High School Jazz Ensemble.

A craft and photo opportunities will follow in the Historical Tuxedo Train Station. Don’t forget your camera and letters to Santa.

This event is sponsored by the Tuxedo Recreation Department and the George F. Baker High School.

After your visit with Santa walk across the street to the Tuxedo Park Library for light fare and a holiday movie.
