KINGS PARK — The Monroe-Woodbury Girls Cross Country team raced at Suffolk Coaches Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park on Long Island on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The Varsity Girls placed third out of 15 schools in the “A” (large school) race. Daniella Napoli finished first for Monroe in 11th place.

The girls packed their scorers into an exceptional 27-second first-to-fifth place window. Most coaches are pleased if the first five runners finish within 60 seconds.

In the JV race, Allison Nolan and Abbey Howell took first and second places to lead Monroe-Woodbury to a first-place finish among 23 schools. Cameryn Cain (5th), Allison English (13th) and Olivia Fisher (16th) rounded out the M-W scoring.
