CENTRAL VALLEY — On a sunny Thursday afternoon, Sept. 13, the Crusaders hosted the Bushmen of Pine Bush in a non-league match.

The Crusaders entered the game with a 3-0 record while the Bushmen were still looking for their first win of the year.

The Crusaders jumped out early when Christ Valle took a pass from Ikiel Collins-Brown and headed it into the net just 2:10 into the game.

At the 17:10 mark of the first half Chris Ryan found Collins-Brown streaking down the middle and suddenly the score was 2-0.

Valle ended the first-half scoring with a laser beam of a shot from just out side the box to put the Crusaders up 3-0.

In the second half Joseph Olivette hit Nolan Kelly with a nice pass and Kelly beat the Bushman goalie to make the score 4-0.

Next Brody King found a streaking Collins-Brown who put in the corner of the net for a 5-0 lead.

Finally, Connor McSherry led Eric Shippee with a perfect pass, and he beat the Bushmen’s goalie to the ball and the Crusaders took a 6-0 lead.

The Crusaders defense played another strong game recording their second shut out in a row.

The Crusaders' 6-0 victory brings their season record to 4-0.

Their next game will be on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Suffern to face the Mounties.
