Village of Monroe to mark Founders Day with weekend events

MONROE — The Village of Monroe will hold two events to mark Founders Day on Sept. 15 and 16.

On Sept. 15, a street fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and feature a variety of food and crafts vendors and events, including a cheesecake contest.

On Sept. 16, “Dinner and a Movie” will be held at the Millponds featuring the movie “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” There will be an “all you can eat” buffet featuring local restaurants at a cost of $25 for adults and $15 for children.
