Charles R. “Chuck” Tomlin of Chester, formerly of Pearl River, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Nyack Hospital. He was 73.

Chuck was a financial planner for J. P. Morgan Chase in New York City before his retirement.

Chuck was born Nov. 18, 1944, in Queens to Carl and Juanita Tomlin.

Locally, he was a member of the Pearl River Rotary, Jaycees of Pearl River and many other organizations.

He will be remembered for being a mean sax player.

He is survived by his wife Wini of Chester; children: Kristin Matthews of Bloomingburg, Danielle (Thomas) Evans of East Northport, Jillian Tomlin of Yonkers, James (Carol Ann) O’Hara of Bethesda, Md., Kathleen (Tim) Campbell of Monroe and Thomas (Alexis) O’Hara of Naperville, Ill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Nicole, Briann, Kieley, Megan, Molly, Tyler, Dana, Michael, Valerie, Morgan, Patrick and Caitlyn; sister Sandra Tomlin and step-mother Nellie Tomlin of Savannah, Ga.

He is predeceased by his sister, Shirley Young.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Margaret R. C. Church in Pearl River.

Funeral arrangements were under the care of Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. in Pearl River.
