MONROE — Pastor Robert C. Wilson was ordained and installed as assistant pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Sunday, Jan. 14.
Bishop Derek Lecakes, president of the Atlantic District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, officiated at the service.
Wilson has completed the first half of the Specific Ministry Pastor Program at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
He has been a member of St. Paul for more than years. During that time he has served as a church elder, chair of Christian Growth Board, and director of the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School ministries.
The pastor said he looks forward to expanding the church's ministry with the St. Paul Christian Education Center and into the community.
After his 35 years as an educator, Wilson is following God’s call as he enters this new phase of his life.
