Dr. Ahwanetta Venteres-Cutler

Dr. Ahwanetta Venteres-Cutler of Monroe passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. She was 81 years old.
The daughter of George Venteres and Lula Clark Venteres, she was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Manhattan.
Ahwanetta had her PhD and was a psychologist as well as a professor at Lehman College in The Bronx. She was also a member of the Children’s Television Workshop as a reading consultant.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Gill and her husband Michael Wyka of Monroe; her grandchildren: Nina and Nicole Agro; and her godson Joseph Maldanado of New York City.
She was predeceased by her sister Jackie Clark and her beloved husband Edwin T. Gill.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
Memorial Visitation and a chapel service were held March 23 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
