CORNWALL — On Friday, July 27, at 7:30 p.m., join the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum for a Full Moon Hike at the Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road in Cornwall.
Enjoy the moonlit fields and forests with a guided full moon trek. The museum’s staff will ensure safe night hiking habits are utilized by the group and guide you along the enchanting scenery of the fields in the evening.
According to Director of Education Jennifer Brinker, “the July full moon is called the 'Full Buck Moon' because that is the time when the new antlers of buck deer push out from their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur.”
Enjoy more lunar and celestial stories during the hike. Please bring a flashlight or head lamp.
This program is for adults and families with children ages 5 and older.
Admission: Prepaid registration is required.
