  • Jessica Pidgeon was a member of Monroe-Woodbury's victorious 3,200 relay team against Pine Bush High School.




  • Sprinters Amelia Giraud, Rachel Gutierrez and Jody Smith. Smith won the race. Smith and Gutierrez would later be a part of Monroe-Woodbury's victorious 400 meter relay team.




  • Monroe-Woodbury sprinters Justin Gumbs and Brandan Adams. Adams would win the 200 meter race against Pine Bush. Adams and Gumbs would later team for Monroe-Woodbury's victorious 400 meter relay team.




  • Distance runners Mike Hannon, Trevor Ladue and Dan Hynes. Hannon won the 1,500 meter and 3,200 meter races. Ladue won the 800 meter race and was part of Monroe-Woodbury's victorious 3,200 meter relay team.




  • Richmond Boateng won the 110 hurdles in Monroe-Woodbury's dual meet against Pine Bush. He also won the 400 meter hurdles, the high jump and ran the anchor leg of the victorious 1,600 relay team.

CENTRAL VALLEY — The Monroe-Woodbury spring track teams are off to a strong, early season start, showcasing a very good freshman/sophomore contingent:

• M-W Girls opened their season with a win at the Washingtonville Invitational on March 28.

• On April 7, the girls won first-place team titles at the Pearl River Pirate Relays in Girls Frosh/Soph and Girls Varsity.

• The girls won their opening dual meet against Pine Bush on April 11.

• The girls won first-place team titles at the Cornwall Green Dragon Relays on April 14 in Girls Frosh/Soph and Girls Varsity.

• The boys first meet was the April 7 Pearl River Pirate Relays where they earned team titles: First-place Frosh/Soph and second-place Varsity, trailing North Rockland by 1 point.

• The boys team won its first home meet against Pine Bush on April 11.

• On April 14, the Boys Frosh/Soph team took the first-place team title at the Cornwall Green Dragons Relays, while the Boys Varsity finished fifth out of 22 teams.
