Thank you to the new Monroe Art Society

I would like the new Monroe Art Society to know how much I appreciate their offer to exhibit some of my Mom’s (Dorothy Bronson Wicker Re) paintings of the local area in their exhibit this weekend - Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15th and 16th - at Monroe Village Hall.
As she was the founder of the Schunnymunk Art Guild along with Don Selchow back in the 1950’s, she would be very happy to know that a new generation of artists will continue to carry on the tradition of the arts in Monroe.
Additionally, she and her good friend Pat Castaldo, also a retired teacher and school house lover, launched the One Room Schoolhouse Project for the Orange County Historian at the time - Ted Sly. Some of the school house paintings from Monroe will be in the exhibit, too.
Good luck with the show.
Sincerely,
Sandy Leonard
