WOODBURY — State Assemblyman and State Senate candidate James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) has been endorsed by the New York State Reform Party in the race for the 39th Senate District.
The Reform Party line has proven to be a significant vote-getter, particularly in the Rockland portion of the district. In its endorsement, the Reform Party highlighted Skoufis’ record of fighting corruption, advocating for education and being a strong independent voice for his constituents in the Hudson Valley.
“I’m proud that my record as an independent leader committed to putting people ahead of politics has earned me the support of the Reform Party,” Skoufis said in the press release detailing the endorsement. “I want to bring a fresh voice to the New York State Senate and create greater opportunities for the people of Orange, Rockland and Ulster counties. If we work together, we can root out government corruption, invest in our local schools, spur economic growth and have a more affordable Hudson Valley to live, work and raise a family."
Curtis Sliwa, chair of the NYS Reform Party, said: “James Skoufis is the best choice to represent Rockland, Orange and Ulster in the State Senate. He has proven in the Assembly to be a true reformer."
