— Chris Cromwell, a member of the Monroe-Woodbury Ice Hockey team coached by Frank Alessandrino, is the high school's “Athlete of the Week” for the period ending Feb. 23, Athletic Director Lori Hock announced.
"Chris has been an intricate part of our offense this season," Alessandrino said in the press release announcing Cromwell's selection. "Chris is the team's leading goal scorer so far this season. He has tallied more than 40 points with a combination of goals and assists.
"Chris gives 100 percent effort throughout each practice and game," the coach added. "His enthusiasm is contagious and he has had an incredibly positive effect on our team as a whole. We look forward to watching Chris’ performance add to the team’s success as we finish our 2017-18 season."
