The Cat in the Hat will be in the house

CENTRAL VALLEY — The North Main Elementary Drama Club will present Seussical Jr. at Central Valley Elementary School on Saturday, March 3, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 4, at 2 p.m.
Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz and many beloved Dr. Seuss character will spring to life onstage in this fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony award-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
Seussical Jr. is a fully staged and costumed production performed by 84 North Main Elementary students.
The production features Sol Cabassa as The Cat in the Hat; Brandon Lexandra as Horton the Elephant; Brady Carter as Jojo; Alicia Scali as Gertrude McFuzz; Summer Arroyo as Mayzie; Charlotte Gillen as the Sour Kangaroo; Maeve McPeek as the Young Kangaroo; Milad Etesami as Mr. Mayor; Valerie Campbell as Mrs. Mayor; and Amiya and Janiya Chatman as Thing 1 and Thing 2.
The production is under the direction of Pat Murray, with choreography by Christine Lauterbach, Artistic Design by Elizabeth Pesce, and is produced by Kathy Fisher, Lara Torello and Carmen Coss.
It features the creative efforts of many community volunteers: costume design by Kathy Fisher and Linda Gordon; Set Design by Albert Murray and Elizabeth Pesce; and accompaniment by Richard and Tyler Schacher.
Central Valley Elementary School is located at 45 Route 32 in Central Valley.
