CENTRAL VALLEY — Eighteen Monroe-Woodbury High School Portfolio Prep students are participating in "An Artist's Response to Human Rights" exhibition sponsored annually by the Orange County Human Rights Commission.

Art teacher Kathleen McGuckin-Van Gelder said the M-WHS artists reviewed and researched the 30 articles outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They each chose one of the thirty articles and created visual interpretations in a variety of media.

Their artwork will be displayed at Orange Hall Gallery on the Middletown campus of SUNY Orange Dec. 1 through 14.

The opening reception will be on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 1 to 3 p.m.
