MONROE — On Saturday morning, Nov. 11, Tom and Sherry Jones once again hosted and donated breakfast for dozens of veterans on Veterans Day at Birchwood Restaurant and Catering at Monroe Country Club.

"A simple act of kindness by the Joneses in honoring our veterans," Monroe Village Trustee Neil Dwyer said, "truly represents all that is right with the human spirit."

Town of Monroe Highway Superintendent John Scherne, who volunteered his time prepping and serving, added: "There is never enough we can do for our war veterans, after all their sacrifices have done for us."

Others also offered "a great big thanks goes out to Tom and Sherry along with their staff for their loving support for our vets."
