Dolores R. “Miss Daisy" Hamacek of Highland Mills passed away on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 76.

The daughter of Louis Zell and Rita Kennedy Zell, she was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on July 5, 1941.

Dolores was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary for V.F.W. Post # 8858 of Harriman and the Ladies’ Auxiliary for American Legion Post # 488 in Monroe.

She is survived by her husband Andrew G. Hamacek of Highland Mills.

Visitation was held on Nov. 16, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.

A Funeral Mass followed at St. Anastasia Shrine Church in Harriman.

Interment followed in St. Anastasia Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Anastasia Church, 21 North Main St., Harriman, NY 10926.
