Veterans Day commemorations took place on Nov. 11 to honor the men and women who served the nation. American Legion Post 488 was among the many groups to place patriotic wreaths of remembrance throughout the area. Post 488 held brief services and placed wreaths at the Old Ambulance Corps Building in Monroe, along Route 17M in Monroe, and in the center of the Village of Harriman.
