TUXEDO — Dr. Se-A Chung, from Alpha & Omega Dental in Tuxedo, visited George Grant Mason School kindergarteners and first-graders on Feb. 28 to mark National Children's Dental Health Month.
One of Tuxedo Speech Language Therapist Stephanie Bussard's roles is to make sure children understand how their tongues and teeth play a significant role in the production of the sounds that make up speech. She annually invites Chung to the school to have a larger discussion about good dental health.
Chung emphasized the importance of establishing proper dental habits and how to brush and floss. As part of her visit, Chung also gave each student a travel case with a timer, toothbrush, toothpaste and floss.
