CENTRAL VALLEY — Last Wednesday, Oct. 11, Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Girls Soccer Team Head Coach Bill Mpasiakos and Assistant Coach Taylor Teal recognized the seniors on the team with a brief ceremony before their game against the Middies of Middletown.

This years senior class players will attempt to capture an unprecedented fifth straight Section 9 Title in the upcoming playoffs.

The fired-up Crusaders started the game ready to play and scored early and often as they jumped out to a 6-0 first half lead.

Crusader goalies Emmy Hamann and Angela Fini easily posted the team's 11th shutout of the year as the defense allowed no shots on goal by the Middies.

In the second half of the game the Crusaders scored two more goals and went on to an 8-0 victory.

The Crusaders' Senior Day victory brought their season record to 11-2-1.
