MONROE — In October, the Monroe Free Library is featuring the artwork of Haley Carlisle.

Carlisle, an art student in her freshman year of college, and has been making art seriously for about a year. She discovered an aptitude for drawing and painting after taking a college course during her senior year of high school.

The artist has been a patron of Monroe Free Library for 13 years and hopes to continue to develop skills and relationships through this local resource.

The Monroe Free Library supports local artists like Carlisle by providing space to publicly display their work.
