The MWUSC GU9 Mystics Purple emerged as champions of their bracket in the eighth annual MWUSC Columbus Day Tournament held over Columbus Day Weekend at the Monroe-Woodbury athletic fields. Mystics Purple went 2-0-1 in the qualifying matches and won the championship match 3-0. They only allowed two goals all tournament on the way to the first tournament win of their young careers. A special thanks to all the family members and fellow soccer fans who cheered them on along the way. Beginning in the second row, pictured from left to right are: Coach Alyson Gilligan, Kallan Pasciuto, Corinna Exarchakis, Callie Exarchakis, Grace Gillette, Melanie Ciprian and Coach Michael Fontana; and in the first row: Gail Sullivan, Gabriella Fontana, Kyra Gilligan and Teagan Lyson. Brynn Loyd is also a member of the Mystics Purple.
