CENTRAL VALLEY — The Crusaders held their annual end-of-year dinner at Falkirk Country Club on Tuesday night, celebrating their most successful lacrosse season ever, having won the Section 9 AA title for the first time.

First JV Head Coach Devin Senning and Assistant Coach, Mark Tooma awarded the JV players on their successful season with certificates.

Varsity Head Coach Steve Brown then recapped the Crusader season highlights and gave recognition to all the varsity players. He also thanked Assistant Coaches Dave Colabella and Lucas Turner and manager Stevie Angel.

Sophomore Tyler Toledo was awarded Most Improved Player Award.

Junior Danny Fitzpatrick was awarded offensive MVP.

Senior Ryan Degnan was awarded the defensive MVP.

The Crusaders who make the all league and all section teams were also given special recognition.

The captains then got up and thanked the coaches and their support staff for all their help during the 2017 season.

Although the team will be loosing 12 strong players to graduation this year , Coach Brown feels that they have a strong core of returning players and should receive a boost from the players moving up from the JV team that will help defend their first-ever Section 9 Title.
