  • The Tuxedo Town Board has appointed Arthur Abbott as Chief of Police in the Town of Tuxedo.



TUXEDO — The Tuxedo Town Board has appointed Arthur Abbott as Chief of Police in the Town of Tuxedo.

Before joining the Tuxedo Police Department, Abbott held the position of lieutenant with the Town of Woodbury Police Department, serving Woodbury for approximately 30 years.

Having earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Mercy College, Abbott brings an extensive background in law enforcement and training to this role.

In the press release announcing the selection, town officials said: "He will apply his leadership and commitment to serve as he works closely with Lt. John Norton and the rest of our police force to protect and serve our town."
