Once again this year, Holy Week and Easter marked the highlight of the year for Christians around the world. Locally, the Highland Mills United Methodist Church observed the time with a full schedule of worship services on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. In addition, Raymond Hanaburgh, who is a trustee of the church, led a procession of church members along Route 32 from Central Valley to Highland Mills to reenact Christ’s walk to Calvary. The joy of the Resurrection was marked by a special 7 a.m. Sunrise Service at the church on Easter morning. The Highland Mills UMC, located on Route 32 and Ridge Road, conducts its weekly worship service each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. For more information, call 845-928-6177 or go to www.highlandmillsumc.org.
