Reenacting Christ's walk to Calvary along Route 32

Once again this year, Holy Week and Easter marked the highlight of the year for Christians around the world. Locally, the Highland Mills United Methodist Church observed the time with a full schedule of worship services on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter. In addition, Raymond Hanaburgh, who is a trustee of the church, led a procession of church members along Route 32 from Central Valley to Highland Mills to reenact Christ’s walk to Calvary. The joy of the Resurrection was marked by a special 7 a.m. Sunrise Service at the church on Easter morning. The Highland Mills UMC, located on Route 32 and Ridge Road, conducts its weekly worship service each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. For more information, call 845-928-6177 or go to
