Souza Scholarship announces auditions for production of 'Peter Pan'

  • Auditions for the Souza Scholarship's production this summer of "Peter Pan" are scheduled for Monday through Wednesday, April 24-26.



CENTRAL VALLEY — The Souza Scholarship Committee announces the upcoming 2017 Souza Scholarship summer production of “Peter Pan.”

“We are all very excited about the show and are anxious to present a fun-filled musical production,” said long-time Souza chairman Bob Curtis.

According to show director Jake Gardner, auditions for this latest Souza show will be held at the Monroe-Woodbury High School Auditorium as follows:

• Monday, April 24, at 6 p.m. Open Auditions for performers going into grades 4-8 in the 2017/18 school year.

Performers will be asked to sing a portion of a song from the show.

Additionally, performers may be asked to read a scene from the show with a small group.

Parents are asked to accompany their performer throughout the audition process.

• Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25 and 26, at 6 p.m. Open auditions for performers throughout the community and those performers going into high school in the 2017/18 school year.

Come prepared to sing a song that best represents your vocal range.

You must provide the sheet music, in the proper key, for your audition.

Performers should be prepared to perform a cold reading from the script.
